Maxim Finogeev is a photographer and artist, combining photography, video, installation and performance. He is interested in participatory practices and the functioning of art in public space. In this direction he implemented projects with the Platform of Cultural Initiatives "ISOLATION" and BigMedia (Kyiv), creative cluster "Space" (Odessa), Virtual Reality Festival "Places _" (Gelsenkirchen, Germany), LGBT + organization "Bistan Labris" ).
His works have been presented at Die Digitale (Düsseldorf), TIFF (Wrocław), CIRCULATIONS (Paris), Gogolfesti (Kyiv), Non Stop Media VIII (Kharkov), Backlit Triennial (Tampere, Finland), Kaunas Photo Festival (Lithuania), International photo festival in Busan (South Korea).
Member of the organizing committee of the international festival of contemporary photography Odesa photo days. Lives and works in Odessa.
Personal exhibitions were organized at the Ukrainian Research Center for Marine Ecology, Odessa (2019), the Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art (2017), the Center for Contemporary Art "Tea Factory", Odessa (2016).
His works were awarded in the Nathan Altman Competition for Young Artists, Vinnytsia (2019), Prix Picto de la Mode, Paris (finalist 2018), "Photographer of the Year 2016 FOTO.UA", Kyiv (2016). He is the project coordinator at the international festival "Odessa photo days".
